BinarySync
Traditional file-sharing systems re-upload entire files on every change. For multi-gigabyte binary assets — datasets, disk images, game bundles — a single localized edit causes massive duplication. BinarySync solves this with a rolling Gear hash algorithm that draws dynamic chunk boundaries, making it resilient to insertions and deletions anywhere in the file. Only the changed chunks are re-uploaded; identical chunks across versions are stored exactly once via SHA-256 content addressing.
